(registration form below)

NPA members interested in effective advocacy on gun violence prevention issues are invited to attend an online training to learn what physicians need to know about guns to talk about gun violence effectively in their communities.

The NPA Live Webinar Exclusive Message Training - “Guns 101: the Militarization of Civilian Guns” – is a one-hour webinar. Highlights of Guns 101 include:

    • A visual guide to firearms, including assault rifle military features and ammunition feeding devices.
    • A discussion of the ways in which weapons have been militarized over the years and today's weapons have become more deadly.
    • Time for questions from physicians concerned about guns in their communities.

Learn about Guns 101 and public safety from an ATF expert.  Presenter David Chipman – retired federal agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Explosives (ATF) – served this nation for 25 years as a federal agent dedicated to preventing violent crime and now supports Mayors Against Illegal Guns to advocate for policies that promote public safety by preventing criminals from obtaining illegal guns.
